by the time you read this i will have moved to nekoweb.
a few days ago i literally said i wouldn't move to nekoweb because i wasn't in full agreement with the moderation policy and because i liked the largeness of the neocities platform.
let's start with the latter reason. i worried that the smallness of nekoweb would mean it would be harder to find gay people. that was my experience with lurking on the geminispace small web. well, uh, never mind. that's not true for nekoweb.
what about the stability of being on the smaller platform? bitch i used to be on cohost lol. i don't mind taking the risk. if i wanted total control, i would spend money on self-hosting.
speaking of cohost, i also didn't completely agree with their moderation policy, and yet i hopped on there anyway. i got to know some wonderful people over there, even for the brief duration of its existence.
so really i shouldn't be that picky over nekoweb's policy either. besides, it's still better than neocities' lack of a policy.
also kitties <33
eventually i will figure out how to use their api and hopefully i don't get the same issues as the neocities one. sob emoji. as for the activity page, i'll just code my own rss feed, no biggie. should have been doing that from the start, anyway.
