oh also i acquired balatro yesterday!! i now understand on a personal level why it's goty. it is indeed insanely fun. unfortunately the mobile port shares similar problems with the slay the spire mobile port wherein the ui elements are too small. andd im getting audio issues, but i have faith it'll be fixed once we get farther from the release date.
will i get as obsessed with it as i am with sts or lbal? we'll see. lbal is so much more casual (not necessarily easy). i can pick it up while on public transport and not risk getting too into it that i miss my stop. as for sts, you only really have to focus when you're building the deck. piloting the deck is less intensive. so it's definitely more involved than lbal, but i can also play it as a timewaster. (although i haven't gotten past ascension 5 ironclad on my phone, so maybe it's time to focus more lol)
right now balatro feels like i have to lock in or else i'll die. i need to be in videogame time to play this shit. i need to be focused both in playing the cards and in purchasing items. so i dunno if i'll be able to devote as much time to it as the other games.
or maybe i just need more experience and then it'll be as breezy as playing lbal. lbal is like hopping along a field of daisies on a breezy day and then suddenly falling face first because you left your shoes untied.
